When Hiscox undertook the renovation of their reception and meeting rooms in London, they brought us in to provide an intelligent lighting control solution, based on the range of Lutron dimmer products.
We have a wealth of experience in the commercial sector and were delighted to be appointed to deliver the lighting control solution for Hiscox. The system we provided was Lutron Energi Savr Node, which naturally included their fantastic energy-saving dimmers.

The Install
Once our design had been approved, we worked off-site to produce the lighting control panel. The area allocated for the panel was reasonably narrow, so we designed and built a bespoke rack for the space.
We constructed the panel, wired the interconnections and finally tested and certified the system. We are an approved NICEIC contractor, meaning that our competence is continually assessed. Having this in-depth electrical knowledge allows us to keep all of the related work within our “hemisphere”. And this means that we can be more efficient, in terms of both time and budget. This ensures much better outcomes for our clients as a result.
As soon as the lighting panel was complete, we began the on-site phase of the work. We installed the panel and made the lighting feed connections. We installed the keypads and finally commissioned the system.
Energi Savr Node – Lutron Dimmer Range
Lutron’s Energy Savr Node is a group of intelligent modular products, able to provide control of various lighting loads. For this installation, we used four-phase adaptive modules and three 0-10V switching modules.
To ensure that the users in each of the meeting rooms and the reception area had complete control of the lighting, we provided six International seeTouch keypads.

We have worked on many commercial projects, large and small. Our clients include the University of Surrey, where we delivered an energy-efficient lighting installation, and The National Theatre, where we built bespoke lighting control panels as part of their extensive back-of-house refurbishment.
In Conclusion
Our client was delighted with the lighting system and they were pleased with the energy-saving elements. The lighting control system was simple to use, so their staff and visitors could use the system with ease.
We worked very closely with their maintenance team throughout the client training and handover phase. We ensured that they had the confidence and tools to use and look after the system.
This was a really enjoyable project for us and we were very happy with the system. With our off-site planning, we were able to expedite the installation phase and actually finished ahead of the required completion date.
