We are delighted to announce that we have won the 2008 Crestron Integration Award for Best Lighting Design. The Crestron Awards are a way to celebrate the most exemplary projects featuring Crestron technology across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The awards were introduced in 2007 and continue to reward the immense effort within the industry, both commercially and residentially. All entries will be judged by a panel of industry-leading experts with a diverse range of industry knowledge
This project was a residential home with the main aim of restoring the property whilst subtly integrating a high-tech control system. With a Crestron control system installed throughout the existing house; naturally, it was sensible to integrate the new winter garden controls with the rest of the home. The lighting, audio, intercom, and HVAC in both areas were all linked and integrated.

Our Best Lighting Design Award-Winning Project
The lighting circuits included a cold cathode for the perimeter of the domes and glazed areas; fibre optic (metal halide) to provide the starlight effect on the ceiling; and colour changing via DMX in the pool itself. In order to meet electrical wiring regulations, we used LEDs on the pool floor and wet areas. Finally, there were electronic low-voltage and magnetic low-voltage circuits. In fact, by layering these different light loads, we were able to create really complex and pleasing lighting scenes.
Karin Singleton collected the Best Lighting Design award on behalf of the Imagine This team and was extremely happy and proud of the team in general for all they had accomplished within this project.
We are thrilled that our expertise in Crestron systems has been acknowledged and pleased for the whole team that our hard work has been so well received. A Crestron system was necessary for this project as the household already had a fully integrated Crestron system, so it was vital to ensure continuity throughout the property and maintain a high degree of professionalism.
