Trinnov Audio designs some of the world’s most advanced audio processors and amplification for high-performance home cinemas, listening rooms, professional studios and commercial cinemas.
The company was founded in France in 2003, following several years of research into spatial audio. Its name combines “3D” and “innovation”, reflecting a continuing focus on three-dimensional sound, acoustic measurement and digital signal processing.
Rather than adapting mass-market technology, Trinnov develops its own hardware, software and patented processing technologies. Its products are designed and manufactured in France and are used in demanding professional and residential environments around the world.
We specify Trinnov because its engineering-led approach closely reflects our own. A high-performance cinema cannot be created by selecting impressive equipment alone: the room, loudspeakers, amplification, processing and calibration must all be considered as parts of one system.
Trinnov gives us exceptionally powerful tools with which to measure, configure and optimise that system. Its Altitude processors provide flexible management of sophisticated immersive-audio installations, while Trinnov’s Amplitude power amplifiers are designed to partner with them.
Most importantly, Trinnov allows an experienced designer and calibrator to make informed, precise adjustments. It does not replace good cinema design, correct loudspeaker positioning or appropriate acoustic treatment. Instead, it helps us extract the best possible performance from a properly engineered room.

Every room influences the sound produced within it. Reflections, resonances, loudspeaker positions and the physical characteristics of the space can all affect tonal balance, clarity, imaging and consistency between seats.
Trinnov’s Optimizer technology uses detailed acoustic measurements to analyse how the loudspeakers interact with the room. Its distinctive three-dimensional microphone can determine the location and orientation of each loudspeaker as well as measuring its acoustic response.
This information allows us to identify and address performance issues with considerable precision. When carefully configured, the result can be clearer dialogue, more accurate spatial positioning, greater tonal consistency and a more convincing sense of immersion.
Trinnov’s 3D Remapping technology can also compensate for some discrepancies between the ideal and actual loudspeaker positions. This is particularly valuable where architecture, interior design or construction constraints make textbook positioning impossible.
Bass is one of the most challenging aspects of cinema-room design. The dimensions and boundaries of an enclosed room can produce resonances and significant variations in bass response from one seat to another.
Trinnov WaveForming uses multiple independently controlled subwoofers, detailed measurements and advanced processing to manage the way low-frequency energy moves through the room. Where the room and system are designed appropriately, it can improve bass definition, reduce unwanted decay and create more consistent performance across the seating area.
Because the results depend upon the room design, subwoofer positions and system configuration, WaveForming should be considered from an early stage wherever possible. It is a sophisticated engineering solution rather than a feature that can simply be added at the end of a project.
For the client, the technology itself can remain largely invisible. What matters is the experience it helps us create:
Trinnov’s architecture also enables substantial functionality to be introduced through software. This provides a more adaptable foundation for an advanced cinema system and helps protect the client’s investment as formats and processing technologies continue to evolve.

Advanced processing delivers its full value only when the system surrounding it has been designed and commissioned correctly. Imagine This combines detailed cinema design with careful equipment specification, acoustic measurement, configuration and final calibration.
We consider the complete signal path—from the source and processor to amplification, loudspeakers, subwoofers and the room itself. Every decision is made in the interests of achieving the required performance, rather than simply assembling a collection of premium components.
Our familiarity with Trinnov enables us to design systems that make purposeful use of its capabilities and to provide knowledgeable support after installation. The result is not technology for its own sake, but a cinema that sounds natural, powerful and entirely convincing.
